Activities include the annual rocket trials, Young Scientist Awards scholarships, lecture/seminars, Hostage to Fortune Game Show, and activity days. It is unique among UK universities for the variety of activity provided. • HUPLA Launched in summer 2003, the University of Hull Personal Learning Award (HUPLA) offers a recognised academic outcome for young people aged 11 – 18 taking part in personal learning and development activities provided by the University. HUPLA is a way of providing learning enrichment and encouraging young people to develop learning interests beyond the National Curriculum.
