HazMat Stipend Clause Samples

HazMat Stipend. Upon contract execution and following successful completion of Technician level certification of HazMat training as required by the City, and in accordance with OSHA 1910.120, employees will receive a $15 per week stipend. Employees are required to attend training required by the City to maintain the Technician level certification and to function as a member of Portland’s HazMat response team. Participation in a team response event will be paid in accordance with 5.9. Payment for time spent in training will be at straight time, if work week is adjusted for attendance at training, or in accordance with 5.11.2 if training is in addition to employee’s regular work week. The Chief or designee may approve travel time associated with this training but such approval is at his discretion.
