Grave Shift a) When an employee whose regular shift is grave receives a jury summons, he/she is to alert the appropriate administrator by providing a copy of the summons. b) Using the dates(s) provided on the summons, the administrator shall adjust the employee’s work schedule from grave to day shift. c) The work schedule shall be adjusted by weekly increments. Therefore, the entire workweek shall be adjusted to day shift even if jury duty is for a single day. d) The temporary adjustment shall have no impact on any pay differential. e) If an employee is selected as a juror, the work schedule shall continue to be adjusted on a weekly basis for the entire length of his/her duty as a juror. The employee is required to report each week to the administrator if an additional adjustment is necessary. The report is to be made by the Friday prior to any additional weekly adjustment.
Grave Shift. When the majority of hours assigned fall between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., employees shall be paid a shift differential of an additional one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) per hour for each hour worked.
Grave Shift. A full-time member whose normal workday extends after 5:00 a.m. shall be entitled to the graveyard differential of 6% of the member’s base pay.

Grave Shift. Employees who are assigned to the “grave” shift will receive pay at the overtime rate for court appearance time outside of regular duty hours, provided, however, each employee required to report for court appearances following their regular duty shift shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours pay at the overtime rate, for separate court appearances in accordance with Section C below. Court appearances which are consecutively annexed to the beginning or end of an employee’s regular duty shift shall be treated as regular overtime and shall not be subject to the provisions of (A) and (B) above.
