Common use of GRANT OF RENEWAL LICENSE Clause in Contracts

GRANT OF RENEWAL LICENSE. Pursuant to the authority of Chapter 166A of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and Cable Communications Policy Act of 1984 as amended, the Issuing Authority hereby grants a non-exclusive Renewal License to the Licensee, a Massachusetts Corporation, authorizing and permitting said Licensee to construct, operate and maintain a Cable Communications System within the municipal limits of the Town of Newbury. This Renewal License is granted under and in compliance with the Federal Cable Act and Chapter 166A of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and in compliance with all rules and regulations of the FCC and the Commission and all other applicable rules and regulations in force and effect during the period for which this Renewal License is granted. Subject to the terms and conditions herein, the Issuing Authority hereby grants to the Licensee the right to construct, upgrade, install, operate and maintain a Cable Communications System, including such lines, cables, fiber optics, conductors, ducts, conduits, vaults, manholes, amplifiers, appliances, pedestals, attachments and other property and equipment as are necessary and appropriate to the operation of the Cable Communications System, in, under, over, along, across and upon the streets, lanes, avenues, alleys, sidewalks, bridges, highways and other public places under the jurisdiction of the Town within the municipal boundaries and subsequent additions thereto, including property over which the Town has a sufficient easement or right-of-way, for the purpose of reception, transmission, amplification, origination, distribution or redistribution of video, audio, text, data and other impulses in accordance with the laws of the United States of America and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
