Common use of Governing Laws and Jurisdiction Clause in Contracts

Governing Laws and Jurisdiction. The Contract shall be governed by and interpreted according to the laws of the Republic of South Africa. In the event of a conflict between or inconsistency in the laws applicable in the various provinces of the Republic of South Africa, the law as applied and interpreted in the Gauteng Province shall prevail. The parties irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South Gauteng High Court, Johannesburg in respect of any action or proceeding arising from this Tender.
