Goals and Intent. The Hospital strongly supports the proposition that adequate staffing is necessary to meet the needs of our patients and provide quality care. In order to ensure that the Hospital is staffed appropriately, both with the necessary number of registered nurses required to care for the patients’ clinical needs, as well as the necessary number of other patient care services staff, the Hospital agrees to assess patient care requirements which can be converted into RN and other patient care services staffing requirements, and, where deemed necessary, adjust the baseline/core staffing for all patient care areas.
