Generating themes. Based on the research questions; the interview schedule included five main topics that were explored as main themes for the initial analysis plan. During the preliminary data analysis, certain themes emerged as independent major themes. These themes were then along with earlier major themes introduced for the thematic content analysis. These major themes were used as ‘main nodes’ for the data analysis in the initial stages.
