Common use of General Intent Clause in Contracts

General Intent. (a) This Agreement shall be applied and interpreted in a manner which recognizes that the relationship between BCS and the Athlete is intended to assist the Athlete in the pursuit of athletic excellence, and that there are, independent from this Agreement, numerous policies and rules of BCS that apply to the Athlete. In the event of a conflict between BCS's various policies and rules and this Agreement, the policies shall prevail to the extent of any conflicts or inconsistencies, inclusive of the BCS Dispute Policy and the BCS Appeal Policy. If these options do not bring about a resolve, application can be made to the SDRCC;
