Future Inheritance Clause Samples

The Future Inheritance clause establishes how assets or property that a person may inherit in the future are to be treated within the context of a legal agreement, such as a will or a prenuptial contract. This clause typically specifies whether any inheritance received after the agreement is signed will be considered separate property or shared with another party, and may outline procedures for disclosing or managing such assets if and when they are received. Its core practical function is to provide clarity and prevent disputes by preemptively addressing the treatment of potential future inheritances, thereby allocating rights and expectations between the parties involved.
