Function-Based Parameters. Parameters that are used to quantify or describe the functional statement provided in the broad-level view of the Stream Functions Pyramid. This can be a structural type of parameter that describes a stream condition at a point in time, or an actual function expressed as a rate that directly relates to a stream process (Chapter 4).
