In this situation, the Company will provide the affected employee with six (6) months prior notice of the change from full-time to part-time status. Should a vacancy occur in the regular full-time staff within the six (6) month period, and after the posting procedure has been completed, the redundant employee may elect to fill such a vacancy subject to meeting normal qualifications of the role. Such employees shall be paid not less than his regular rate of pay for the job which he occupied immediately prior, unless such employee successfully bids for a job of the same or lower grade than the new job in which case the employee's rate of pay will be adjusted to the employee's current step in the grade of the job.
