FRUIT Clause Samples
The 'FRUIT' clause defines the rights and obligations related to the products or proceeds derived from a particular asset, such as dividends from shares or interest from a loan. In practice, this clause specifies whether the party holding the asset is entitled to any income or benefits generated by it during the term of an agreement. For example, if shares are pledged as collateral, the clause will clarify who receives any dividends paid during the pledge period. Its core function is to prevent disputes by clearly allocating the benefits arising from the asset, ensuring both parties understand who is entitled to the 'fruit' produced by the underlying property.
