Formal Hearings. A formal hearing is one before the Chief which can result in written findings by the Chief which could lead to a disciplinary suspension or discharge. In a formal hearing the City must give the officer a written charge of misconduct at least five days before the hearing. If the officer requests it, the City will give him the following information at least five days before the hearing:
