Common use of Forgery Clause in Contracts

Forgery. We will not be liable to you or any other person for having honoured even negligently any cheque the signature or content of which has been forged if: a) You have facilitated such forgery either by failure to comply with any of the conditions contained in paragraph (a) or paragraph (b) of condition 13 hereof or by your negligence in any other way, or b) There has been a previous forgery of the cheque and you fail to object in by condition 9 hereof, or c) The forgery has been perpetrated by your employee, servant, agent, contractor or sub-contractor.
