Fixed Hour Split Shifts Sample Clauses
The Fixed Hour Split Shifts clause establishes a work schedule where an employee's daily hours are divided into two or more distinct periods, separated by unpaid breaks. Typically, this means an employee might work a set number of hours in the morning, have a significant break, and then return for additional hours later in the day. This arrangement is often used in industries with fluctuating demand throughout the day, such as hospitality or retail. The core function of this clause is to provide flexibility in staffing while ensuring employees are aware of their specific work periods, thereby helping employers efficiently manage labor costs and coverage during peak times.
