FIRST SOURCE HIRING REFERRAL PROGRAM. Pursuant to Section 2-2113 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, for all contracts for goods and services, the Contractor, prior to hiring to fill each vacancy arising under a County contract shall (1) first notify the South Florida Workforce Investment Board (“SFWIB”), the designated Referral Agency, of the vacancy and list the vacancy with SFWIB according to the Code, and (2) make good faith efforts as determined by the County to fill a minimum of fifty percent (50%) of its employment needs under the County contract through the SFWIB. If no suitable candidates can be employed after a Referral Period of three to five days, the Contractor is free to fill its vacancies from other sources. Contractor will be required to provide quarterly reports to the SFWIB indicating the name and number of employees hired in the previous quarter, or why referred candidates were rejected. Sanctions for non-compliance shall include, but not be limited to: (i) suspension of contract until Contractor performs obligations, if appropriate; (ii) default and/or termination; and (iii) payment of $1,500/employee, or the value of the wages that would have been earned given the noncompliance, whichever is less. FIRST SOURCE HIRING REFERRAL PROGRAM. The parties acknowledge and agree that the Contractor does not currently intend nor intend in the future to provide any personnel or staff augmentation services under this Agreement. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in the event that any dedicated personnel specifically required to perform the services provided herein arises under this Agreement, the Contractor shall comply with the requirements set forth in Section 2-2113 of the Code.   • First Source Hiring Program Contractor must comply with all of the provisions of the First Source Hiring Program, Chapter 83 of the San Francisco Administrative Code, that apply to this Agreement, and Contractor is subject to the enforcement and penalty provisions in Chapter 83.

  • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with Employer policies and available resources. 9.2 Attendance at employer-required training will be considered time worked. The Employer will make reasonable attempts to schedule employer-required training during an employee’s regular work shift. The Employer will pay the registration and associated travel costs in accordance with Article 23, Travel, for employer-required training.

  • Employee and Family Assistance Plan The CODC PRO Care Plan is an industry-funded employee and family assistance plan for employees and their eligible family members according to the participation of sponsoring organizations and employers as well as Plan eligibility rules. Employees must be enrolled in the Plan by their employer to become eligible for Plan benefits, subject to the Plan eligibility rules. An individual employee cannot self-enroll in the Plan. i. Employers are required to remit the Contract Administration and Industry Development fees and the monthly CODC Employer Report Form to CODC by the 15th of the month following the month in which the hours were worked. ii. Employers must also submit the monthly Employee Data Report to the PRO Care plan by the 15th of the month following to facilitate the confidential determination of eligibility by the EFAP provider.
