Common use of First Source Hiring Program Clause in Contracts

First Source Hiring Program. The City and County of San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 83 requires that the Building comply with the provisions of the "First Source Hiring Program" which has as its purpose, the creation of entry level employment positions for otherwise economically disadvantaged individuals. Entry level positions are generally defined as nonmanagerial requiring no education above a high school diploma or equivalent and/or less than two years of training. By the terms of the ordinance, starting in 1998 all new office buildings in San Francisco, including the Building, are required to include this provision in all leases for commercial space and to direct that the Tenant also comply with the provisions of the First Source Hiring ordinance, it being understood that each and every case employer shall make the final determination of whether an individual is qualified to fulfill the proposed entry level position. Accordingly, Tenant hereby agrees to comply with the City and County of San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 83 "First Source Hiring Program".
