Fire Hydrant Assembly. 1. Fire hydrants shall be the compressive, post style, dry barrel type, and shall conform to the requirements of ANSI/AWWA C502 and local code requirements. The valve opening shall not be less than 4½-inch (115 mm). All hydrants shall be complete including joint assemblies.
