Fire Hydrant. The work for the above tender item shall be performed in accordance with OPSS 441: Watermain Installation in Open Cut and OPSS 442: Corrosion Protection of New and Existing Watermains and OPSD 1105.010: Hydrant Installation. This item includes the saw cutting of existing asphalt, removal and replacement of asphalt, excavation, removal of existing hydrant, installation of new fire hydrant, lead, and appurtenances, supply of granular material, placement and compaction of bedding, removal of surplus material, backfilling, and restoration of the road surface. Any necessary saw cutting of sidewalks and boulevards, removal and replacement of removal and replacement of boulevards and sidewalks shall be included in the unit price (if not included under other tender items). Fire hydrants must be breakaway, McAvity M67 or Xxxxxxx Century to AWWA standards, must have two 60 mm hose nozzles and one 100 xx Xxxxx Quick Connect pumper nozzle, threaded in accordance with CSA standards. Each hydrant must have its own isolation valve. Fire hydrants must open left and the proper 1.80 m of ground cover needs to be maintained. Any fire hydrant lead that crosses a ditch or culvert requires proper insulation if 1.80 m of cover cannot be maintained. The hydrant flanges shall be higher than the crown of the adjacent road or the top of the adjacent curb whichever is higher. Flanges shall be placed such that connecting bolts can be easily removed, 100mm above finished grade. All hydrants shall be protected with 7.7kg magnesium anodes. Hydrants shall have 150mm PVC DR18 leads, a 150mm Gate Valve and box, and all joints completely restrained. Also to be included is the DI Anchor Tee for connection to the mainline water main.   • Irrigation Systems The Project Area either has no irrigation system or a low-volume drip irrigation system. If a watering system is used, it is a drip irrigation system equipped with a filter, pressure regulator and emitters rated at twenty (20) gallons per hour (gph) or less. The system is maintained free of leaks and malfunctions. No spray irrigation is applied to the Project Area, including spray from irrigation systems adjacent to the Project Area.

  • Irrigation The City shall provide water to the Premises for the purpose of irrigating the facility. The City specifically reserves the right to restrict water usage under this Agreement if water restrictions are placed on other water users within the City. Prior to the start of the season, City will provide charge up and run through the automatic irrigation systems to check for proper operation. City will provide Lessee with a radio for remote operation of the irrigation system, which Lessee shall use for the day to day maintenance, repair, and monitoring of the irrigation system. If the radio is lost, stolen, broken, or is rendered unusable, Lessee shall pay $1500 for the replacement radio. City is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the following irrigation elements, to the extent applicable: curb stops, backflow prevention devices, backflow enclosures, main line pipings, electric control valves, and controllers. Lessee shall notify Parks Division Water managers by email if any of these irrigation elements are malfunctioning or broken.

  • Fire Hazards Explosives and inflammable materials which conflict with the Insurance Underwriting or Fire Department must be excluded. The City Fire Department prohibits the use of paper, crepe paper, or corrugated papers, and cardboard that has not been flame proofed for decoration of exhibit booths. All cloth drapes or table covers must be treated for fire resistance. All boats and motorized vehicles must have fuel tanks sealed and batteries disconnected. The Fire Marshal may require fuel tanks to be drained and purged. All exhibits must be in compliance with ordinances and laws of the City and the State in which the Show is held.
