FIELD ASSIGNMENTS AND ALLOWANCES Clause Samples

The 'Field Assignments and Allowances' clause defines the terms and conditions under which employees are assigned to work at locations away from their usual place of employment, and specifies the additional compensation or benefits they may receive as a result. This clause typically outlines eligibility for field assignments, the types of allowances provided—such as per diem, housing, or travel reimbursements—and the procedures for claiming these benefits. Its core practical function is to ensure that employees are fairly compensated for the extra costs and inconveniences associated with working in the field, while providing clear guidelines for both employers and employees regarding entitlements and responsibilities.
