Federation Levy. The Union shall provide the Board with a copy of the motion(s) passed at a general meeting of District 11 authorizing the Board to deduct from the payroll of all members of the Bargaining Unit such amount(s) as are authorized by motion. Such amount(s) shall be in the form of a one-time per year levy or a fixed percentage or dollar amount to be deducted on each pay date as set forth in the Agreement. The Board agrees to make such a deduction on the date(s) requested provided the Union motions are received by the Board at least thirty (30) days prior to the date of expected implementation. The Board shall forward the amounts so deducted to the Treasurer of the District not later than the last teaching day of the month following the deduction.
Federation Levy. Prior to June the branch affiliate shall inform the Board of any levy to be deducted from each teacher's salary during the following school year. The Board shall make such deductions and remit the monies deducted to the branch affiliate within ten working days following the deduction. On the recommendation of the Director of Education that suitable replacements are available, the Board will grant up to six leaves of absence without pay three for each branch affiliate for one school year. Applications for leave shall be submitted to the Board prior to the third Monday in April of the year in which the leave of absence i s to commence. If there are more than six applications the leaves shall be granted according to seniority. During the leave a Teacher w i l l not accumulate sick leave credits and experience for salary purposes, however he or she w i l l be credited with one year of seniority.
