Common use of Faculty Committees Clause in Contracts

Faculty Committees. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Faculty By-Laws, the standing committees listed hereafter shall be created annually. Elections to committees shall be held by ballot at the last regular faculty meeting of the academic year, except that the members of Committee on Nominations shall be elected at the first regular faculty meeting in the second semester. Except as otherwise specified members of committees, whether elected or appointed, shall serve pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Faculty By-Laws. New committees shall follow the terms and conditions of the Faculty By-Laws. Vacancies occurring during the year shall be filled pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Faculty By-Laws. Except as otherwise specified, the chairperson of each standing committee shall be elected by the members of the committee at the first meeting following election of the committee. Names of chairpersons shall be reported to the faculty no later than the October meeting of the faculty.
