Common use of Faculty Classification Clause in Contracts

Faculty Classification. 10.1.1 All full-time faculty employees shall be classified according to the type of position they fill as listed in this contract. These classifications must not be changed or deleted without the agreement of the Faculty Association. If new positions are created during the life of this contract, the classification shall be made with the mutual agreement of the Board and the Faculty Association; if mutual agreement cannot be reached, the issue goes to binding arbitration under Article 3.6. If new Arts and Science courses or new Type 1(b) or Type 1(c) programs are created during the life of this Agreement, the placement in the classification categories will be made with the mutual agreement of the Board and the Faculty Association; if mutual agreement cannot be reached, the issue goes to binding arbitration under Article 3.6.
