Existing Maintenance Standards Sample Clauses

The 'Existing Maintenance Standards' clause defines the baseline level of upkeep and repair that must be maintained for a property or asset, typically referencing the condition as of a specific date or prior to a transaction. In practice, this clause requires the responsible party—often a tenant or property manager—to maintain the premises in at least the same condition as it was at the start of the lease, accounting for normal wear and tear. By establishing a clear maintenance benchmark, this clause helps prevent disputes over deterioration and ensures that the property is returned or maintained in an agreed-upon state.
