As evidence of specified insurance coverage, the Owner may, in lieu of actual policies, accept certificates issued by the insurance carrier showing such policies in force for the specified period. Each policy or certificate will bear an endorsement or statement waiving right of cancellation or reduction in coverage without ten (10) days' notice in writing to be delivered by registered mail to the Owner. Should any policy be canceled before final payment by the Owner to the Contractor and the Contractor fails immediately to procure other insurance as specified, the Owner reserves the right to procure such insurance and to deduct the cost thereof from any sum due the Contractor under this Contract.
