Essential Qualifications. 6.1 All PSS employees will be required to achieve and maintain competence in all areas relating to their employment. PSS employees will be provided with formal and on- the-job training to achieve initial competence. 6.2 DPS will provide periodic refresher training to assist PSS employees in maintaining employment competencies. This will include: (a) first aid training, and (b) defensive tactics.
