Common use of Equivalent Position Clause in Contracts

Equivalent Position. An ‘equivalent position’ is a position that is: • generally similar in role, duties and status; and • requires similar qualifications, training, skills and experience but may have a different title/or unit allocation; and • is in the same general locality; and • is on terms and conditions of employment that are no less favourable than those that applied to the employee immediately before the offer of employment (ii) 2.13.2(e) does not apply.
