The Equalizing Teaching Loads clause is designed to ensure that teaching responsibilities are distributed fairly among faculty members. In practice, this clause may set guidelines for how courses, class sizes, or other instructional duties are assigned, taking into account factors such as sabbaticals, administrative roles, or special projects. Its core function is to prevent imbalances in workload, promoting equity and reducing potential conflicts or grievances related to teaching assignments.
Equalizing Teaching Loads. No later than the twentieth instructional day of each school year, the District shall reassign students and/or classroom teachers to equalize the teaching load for regular classroom teachers within similar disciplines and grade levels.
