Common use of ENTRY AT THE FIRST STEP Clause in Contracts

ENTRY AT THE FIRST STEP. 341. Full-time employees entering at the first step shall advance to the second step upon completion of six months service and to each successive step upon completion of the one year required service. ENTRY AT OTHER THAN THE FIRST STEP - EXCEPT FOR EMPLOYEES ENTERING AT TOP STEP 342. Employees who enter a classification at a rate of pay at other than the first step shall advance one step upon completion of the one year required service. Further increments shall accrue following completion of the required service at this step and at each successive step. 343. Increments shall accrue and become due and payable on the next day following completion of required service as a full-time employee in the class, unless otherwise provided herein.
