Encompass. Geodesy’s Encompass system is CITY’s legacy GIS which was put in place 25+ years ago. Encompass runs on SQL Server 2019. Many City staff use desktop applications such as GIST and AVEC to view, analyze, and edit the GIS data. There are many other custom applications and ETLs that have been built using the Encompass framework. Around 80% of the custom encompass-based applications and workflows have been migrated to the ArcGIS Enterprise platform.
