EMPTY CONTAINERS Sample Clauses

The "Empty Containers" clause defines the responsibilities and procedures related to the handling, return, or disposal of shipping containers once their contents have been unloaded. Typically, this clause specifies who is responsible for returning the empty containers, the timeframe for their return, and any associated costs or penalties for delays or damage. For example, it may require the consignee to return containers to a designated depot within a certain number of days after delivery. The core function of this clause is to ensure efficient container management, prevent unnecessary storage fees, and clarify accountability between parties in the logistics chain.
