Common use of Employees' Files Clause in Contracts

Employees' Files. A. Any employee may attach an addendum to any information in her/his Personnel file. An employee may have information removed from her/his file by use of the grievance procedure, on the grounds that information in her/his file is improper, incorrect, or irrelevant to the employment relationship B. The employee shall have the right upon request at reasonable times to examine her/his personnel file at a location designated by the employer and to have a copy of any material in it. C. The employer will not reveal information in employees' files without the consent of the employee to anyone outside the management of the Town, except when required to do so in legal proceedings.
