Common use of Emergency Staffing Clause in Contracts

Emergency Staffing. In the event an emergency situation arises and a state of emergency is declared by the Mayor, CAO or the Board of Health, the Employer reserves the right to alter an Employee’s work location and job duties as required during the state of emergency. The Employer further reserves the right to call in Employees without the need to follow seniority and/or overtime call in schedules. An emergency is defined as a situation or an impending situation caused by the force of nature, an accident, an international act or otherwise, that constitutes a danger of major proportions to life or property.
