Common use of Emergency Safeguard Measures Clause in Contracts

Emergency Safeguard Measures. 1. If, as a result of opening up of economic activities in accordance with this Agreement, a Member State suffers or is threatened with any serious injury, the Member State may take emergency safeguard measures to the extent and for such period as may be necessary to prevent or to remedy such injury. The measures taken shall be provisional and without discrimination.
