Common use of Embedded Activity Clause in Contracts

Embedded Activity. If an Employee is not notified of a cancellation of an embedded activity at least one (1) hour in advance of the start time for an embedded activity and other work is available, work will be assigned to the Employee whose route was cancelled and the Employee will be paid for actual time worked, but will be paid for at least one (1) hour. If work is not available, the Employee will be placed on standby, but will be paid for one (1) hour at the driving time rate.
