Common use of Effective Date and Ratification Clause in Contracts

Effective Date and Ratification. The terms of the Memorandum shall become effective on the date agreed after which the Company receives written notice from the IAM Business Representative that the Memorandum has been ratified by the Union membership. Contract must be ratified by October 22, 2007 or is withdrawn by the Company. All provisions of the previous collective agreement dated February 6, 2005 to remain in force and effect except as modified or amended by the parties.
