Common use of Educational Courses Clause in Contracts

Educational Courses. ‌ Section 1. The Chief of Police may with the approval of the Mayor direct a permanent employee to attend educational seminars, conferences or courses related to law enforcement. In such cases the City will pay the expenses incurred by the employee for tuition, books and transportation. Section 2. The City agrees to provide such training for its regular police officers as is required under the provisions of Section 96B of Chapter 41 of the Massachusetts General Laws. Section 3. Officers will be compensated for any and all training for any classes, whether the officer attends training or the training is on the job type training, e.g. dispatch.
