Common use of Early Warning Clause in Contracts

Early Warning. A Party shall notify the other as soon as he is aware of any circumstance which may delay or disrupt the Works, or which may give rise to a claim for additional payment. The Contractor shall take all reasonable steps to minimise these effects. The Contractor’s entitlement to extension of the Time for Completion or additional payment shall be limited to the time and payment which would have been due if he had given prompt notice and had taken all reasonable steps.” Part 1: Contract Data completed by the Employer
