Dynamometer specification Clause Samples

The Dynamometer specification clause defines the technical and performance requirements that a dynamometer must meet for a particular project or contract. It typically outlines parameters such as measurement accuracy, capacity, calibration standards, and any specific features or certifications required for the equipment. By clearly stating these specifications, the clause ensures that the supplied dynamometer is suitable for its intended use and meets the necessary quality and safety standards, thereby reducing the risk of equipment failure or disputes over performance.
Dynamometer specification. An engine dynamometer with adequate characteristics to perform the test cycle described in Annex 4A, paragraph 3. 7.1. shall be used. The instrumentation for torque and speed measurement shall allow the measurement of the power within the given limits. Additional calculations may be necessary. The accuracy of the measuring equipment shall be such that the maximum tolerances of the figures given in paragraph 1.3. are not exceeded.
