DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF FACULTY MEMBERS. 5:01 The rights and responsibilities of a faculty member flow from the objects and purposes of the University which are the advancement of learning and the dissemination of knowledge, the intellectual, spiritual, moral, social and physical development of its members and students and the betterment of society; from her/his position as a faculty member; from the expectations of the University; from the requirements of the students; and from the legitimate claims of the community.
