Dust. We use the best in vacuum and HEPA filter technology to minimize our own exposure to concrete dust as well as keep the job as clean as possible. We will also work in a way to meet OSHA’s 2017 standard for silica dust. During all dry grinding steps an appropriate vacuum will be connected to the grinder. There will be no ‘clouds of dust’ – (not like the guys cutting the road and dust blowing all over your car.) Inevitably there will be traces of dust in the environment when we leave. We recommend a good cleaning or hiring a cleaning crew once we finish. We like to work Neat, Clean and Organized – but we are a few steps away from cleaning good enough for the way you like it, or being open for business. If you have HVAC openings to collect air and distribute to other parts of your building, we recommend you cover these while we work. If your project requires extensive dust control measures; for example, work to be done in phases in an open area, please ask your project leader about our DUST CONTROL PACKAGE which includes additional dust control measures such as temporary enclosures and air scrubbers. We have worked is medical prototype rooms, food manufacturing, operational kitchens, and operational hospitals – we can make it work. Unless noted on your bid this additional package is over and above normal work pricing.
Dust. All precautions will be taken to prevent dirt and dust from permeating other parts of the Building during the progress of the Alterations. Materials and rubbish will be placed in barrels or bags, before being taken out of the Unit daily. All such barrels or bags, rubbish, rubble, discarded equipment, empty packing cartons and other materials will be taken out of the Building and removed from the premises daily by the Unit owner’s Contractor or, if it fails to do so, the Condominium at Unit owner's expense. Access to the Unit during Alteration may be limited to the service door. All plant and equipment having intakes or breathers or having lubricated parts exposed to atmosphere shall have adequate protection by filter or bellows against the ingress or absorption of process dust or ambient dust-laden air. Such dusts may be of a very fine nature and although mainly in the 30-70 micron range may be down to 10 microns or lower.
Dust. The effective mitigation of airborne dust is essential. Due to the location of the Project, the site does experience high velocity winds. The nearest residences, however, are approximately 1.5 km distant. Nevertheless, if not addressed, coal dust could potentially be an issue. To minimize the potential for dust leaving the site from the storage and handling of coal, a watering system will be installed. The dust suppression systems for the sized, raw coal stockpile will be a series of rainbirds. Winter operation will require that the piping to these devices be heat traced. In terms of the trucking of coal, several mitigative measures will be in place to control dust along the trucking route. These include the washing of trucks before they exit the site to reduce the tracking of sediment on the roadways and the installation of tarpaulins on all trucks to reduce coal dust becoming entrained in the air. The access road and parking area will be watered as necessary if dust is an issue.
Dust. Dust control at the Facility shall be the responsibility of the Company. This includes the Class I MSW Landfill, Class I Ash Monofill, Class III Landfill, landfill internal approach roads, site roads, and stockpile areas. The Lee County Compost Facility and Overs Stockpile Area are excluded from Company dust control responsibility. Refer to Appendix 2 for dust control map. Dust shall be minimized by frequent spraying of dirt roads and Landfill Operations Areas. Dust control measures shall meet the requirements of the Title V permit and other permits or rules pertaining to the Operation Services.
