Common use of Draft Preliminary Design Report Clause in Contracts

Draft Preliminary Design Report.  WSC will prepare a Draft Preliminary Design Report for the Phase II project to provide recommendations for decommissioning each of the stations. Analysis will include the following: (1) Conducting a visual condition assessment of the existing facility to evaluate the remaining useful life and condition. (2) Development of life‐cycle costs for both continuing to operate, maintain, and replace the existing station as well as constructing a gravity sewer and abandoning the facility. (3) Evaluation of alternative alignments for the Desert Skies PS between Sunburst Court and Clairaway Avenue, for the Forum PS, and for the Shire PS. (4) Alternative alignments will be ranked based on construction costs, but will also consider potential impacts to the general public and the local residents. (5) Recommendations for abandonment of force mains and pump station facilities at each location. (6) Description of recommended phasing and packaging of Phase II decommissioning. (7) Description of sewer bypassing requirements, and high‐level bypass pumping plans. (8) Proposed easement strategy, requirements, and timeline for Desert Skies PS, if necessary. (9) Description of utility conflicts and protection requirements (10)Engineer’s opinion of probable construction costs
