Common use of Documentation Synopsis Clause in Contracts

Documentation Synopsis. The summary of required project documentation is referred to as the documentation synopsis. It lays down the structure and content of the documentation to the extent that the Employer is able to visualize what is supplied. The documentation synopsis must consist of documentation that is specific to the project and contract for Tutuka Power Station.  Standard brochures, catalogues and descriptions.  Design standards, codes of practice, design guidelines, installation, test, and commissioning and optimization procedures.  Drawing system description and index.  Document management procedures.  Quality assurance documents.  Design modification procedures.  Data sheets of components, analysers, transmitters, control modules, printed circuit boards etc. The documentation synopsis shall serve as a summary and general view of the whole documentation package and provide the Project Manager with a clear indication of its content for assessment and acceptance. The Contractor’s documentation synopsis shall be agreed upon within two weeks of contract award.
