DISTRICT STAFF DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE. A Staff Development Committee will be established and comprised of the Superintendent‟s designee and one (1) teacher from each school in the district. These teachers or their designee shall serve as members of their SIP. In addition, this committee shall include one (1) representative each from the Health Department, elementary art department, elementary music department, elementary physical education department, elementary Title I, bilingual department, three (3) special education teacher representatives, curriculum coordinators, speech and language, OT/PT representative, central office administration, social workers, and psychologists. All committee members shall be elected to staggered terms of two (2) years each by secret ballot by the respective constituencies which they represent.
DISTRICT STAFF DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE. There will be a District Staff Development Committee. The committee will include a teacher majority representing various grades, content areas and special education. The SCEA will be responsible for the appointment of these teacher representatives. This committee will: ● Develop the district staff development plan as outlined by Minnesota Statute ● Survey the staff development needs and interests of staff for the coming year ● Develop the inservice calendar ● Conduct ongoing evaluation of district and building staff development efforts based on staff feedback ● Assist site staff development committees. District level committee members who are not on a site leadership team may attend the site level meetings when professional development issues are addressed by the site level committee.
