District Requests. Requests by an employee’s immediate supervisor to reclassify a position and the reasons for the request shall be submitted in written form to the appropriate district level administrator with copies to the employee and the President of CSEA. (a) The appropriate district level administrator shall investigate and respond to the reclassification request in a written decision with copies to the employee, the immediate supervisor, and the President of CSEA within twenty (20) days. (b) If the parties agree to the district level administrator’s decision, it shall be presented to the Governing Board for final approval. (c) If the parties do not agree to the district level administrator’s decision, it may be appealed by CSEA within ten (10) days through advisory arbitration or through the Governing Board. The arbitration process shall conform to Article XVII; however, the decision shall be advisory to the Governing Board. The Governing Board shall act upon the request within twenty (20) working days. The decision of the Governing Board is final.
