DISTRICT FUNCTIONS. A. It is recognized that the District has the rights and responsibilities to operate and manage the school system and its programs, facilities, properties and school activities of its employees except as specifically provided in this Agreement.
DISTRICT FUNCTIONS. A. It is recognized that the Board has and will continue to retain the rights and responsibilities to operate and manage the school system and its program, facilities, properties, and on-the-job activities of its employees, except as limited by this Agreement and applicable law. The Board's operational and managerial responsibilities include: o The right to determine location of the schools and other facilities of the school system, including the right to establish new facilities and to relocate or close old facilities. o The determination of the financial policies of the District, including the general accounting procedures, inventory of supplies and equipment procedures and public relations. o The determination of the management, supervisory or administrative organization of each school or facility in the system and the selection of employees for promotion to supervisory, management or administrative positions. o The maintenance of discipline and control and use of the school system property and facilities. o The determination of safety, health and property protection measures where legal responsibility of the Board or other governmental unit is involved. o The right to enforce the rules and regulations now in effect and to establish new rules and regulations from time to time not in conflict with this Agreement. o The direction and arrangement of all working forces in the system, including the right to hire, suspend, discharge or discipline, or transfer employees. o The right to relieve employees from duty for poor or unacceptable work or for other legitimate reasons. o The creation, combination, modification or elimination of any teaching position deemed advisable by the Board. o The determination of the size of the working force, the allocation and assignment of work to employees, the determination of policies affecting the selection of employees, and the establishment of quality standards and judgment of employee performance. o The determination of the layout and the equipment to be used, and the right to plan, direct and control school activities, and the determination of the processes, techniques, methods and means of teaching and the subjects to be taught. o The right to establish and revise the school calendar, establish hours of employment, to schedule classes and assign work loads; and to select textbooks (in accordance with ORS 337.120), teaching aids and materials. o The right to make assignments for all programs of an extra curricular nature...
DISTRICT FUNCTIONS. The management and direction of the work force is vested exclusively in the District, subject to the terms of this agreement. All matters not specifically and expressly covered or treated by the language of this agreement may be administered for its duration by the District in accordance with such policy or procedure as from time to time may be determined.

The APPROVAL AND AUTHORIZATION of the processes, techniques, methods, and means of teaching, and the subjects to be taught. The right to schedule classes and assign work loads and to APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE textbooks, teaching aides, and materials. Nothing in the Agreement shall limit in any way the District's contracting or subcontracting of work or shall require the District to continue in existence any of its present programs in its present form and/or location, or on any other basis.
DISTRICT FUNCTIONS. A. This Agreement is not intended to alter the existing relationship between the District and the Association except as specifically provided herein; the District retains all rights, powers and authorities except as clearly and expressly nullified by the terms of this Agreement.

  • Project Manager, County The County shall appoint a Project Manager to act as liaison between the County and the Subrecipient during the term of this Contract. The County’s Project Manager shall coordinate the activities of the County staff assigned to work with the Subrecipient. The County’s Project Manager, in consultation and agreement with the County, shall have the right to require the removal and replacement of the Subrecipient’s Project Manager and key personnel. The County’s Project Manager shall notify the Subrecipient in writing of such action. The Subrecipient shall accomplish the removal within three (3) business days after written notice from the County’s Project Manager. The County is not required to provide any additional information, reason or rationale in the event it requires the removal of Subrecipient’s Project Manager from providing further services under the Contract.

  • CERTIFYING FUNCTION Department of Information Resources acting as the owner of the DIR Contracts hereby certifies the eligibility of the DIR Customer to use the DIR Contracts.
