The parties acknowledge that concern with class size has led to the utilization of local resources to fund instructional positions beyond those funded by the state. The goals of the class size/workload plan are: 1) improved instruction and student learning; 2) equity for classroom teachers and students; 3) class size relief in a timely manner; and 4) opportunity for shared decision making.

Caseload/Workload Size Limits Caseload-Defined as the total number of IEPs managed by a certificated staff member. Workload-Defined as the IEP/caseload with consideration given to type/severity of student disability. ELL Caseload 100 with a second (K-12) adjustment at 130 C. Secondary Class Preparation Limits Beginning in the 2024-2025 school year, secondary teachers, excluding multilingual specialists, ALE, CTE, and music will have no more than three course preparations per academic term unless requested by the teacher.
