Discards. The discarding of marketable species of finfish, crustaceans and cephalopods is prohibited, except with the explicit authorisation of the Guinean fisheries authorities and where by-catches of these species reach the following levels: (a) for finfish vessels, crustaceans and cephalopods each representing more than 13,5 % of total catches in the Republic of Guinea's fishing zone; (b) for cephalopod vessels, crustaceans representing 13,5 % and finfish representing 52,5 % of total catches in the Republic of Guinea's fishing zone; (c) for shrimp vessels, finfish representing 22,5 % and cephalopods representing 15 % of total catches in the Republic of Guinea's fishing zone.
