DETECTIVE CLASS. 23.1 Unless the affected employee consents, an employee who holds the position of Detective shall not be transferred to any other position paying equivalent or lesser wages; provided, however, that this section should not apply to a reduction in staff caused by a layoff as provided in Article 33 and shall not affect the right of the County to discipline employees. Employees in the Detective Classification shall receive a premium of three percent (3%) of base salary.
