Common use of Design-Builder’s Responsibilities Clause in Contracts

Design-Builder’s Responsibilities. The Design Builder shall not require the Design Builder to provide professional services that constitute the practice of architecture or engineering in the Construction Documents unless such services are proprietary for that portion of the Work or unless the Design-Builder needs to provide such services in order to carry out the Design Builder’s responsibilities for construction means, methods, techniques, sequences, and procedures. The Contractor shall not be required to provide professional services in violation of applicable law
